Itinerary
Day 1:
Airport - Yerakini [60 km]
Arrive at the International "Macedonia" Airport of Thessaloniki in Greece (SKG). A taxi will pick you up and take you to the seaside village of Yerakini in Chalkidiki. Check into the hotel and rest by the swimming pool or bar/restaurant, or visit the local beach. At 18:00 there will be a welcome briefing by your tour guide. Afterwards, the tour engineer will show you to the motorcycles and you will have a chance to ride them and get a feeling for your bike. Spend the rest of the evening at the hotel, or visit the local shops with the scooters we provide. If you would like to arrive a couple of days early, please let FLYRIDE know so we can arrange accommodation and rental scooters for you.
Day 2:
Yerakini - Sikia - Marmaras [160 km]
At 10:00 we will ride our motorcycles to the beautiful beach of Kalamitsi in Sithonia. There you will have the chance to swim in the crystal waters of the magnificent Greek coastline. Then we are back on the bikes for a ride to Port Koufo for lunch and a taste of the local seafood. Porto Koufo is one of the deepest natural harbours in the Mediterranean Sea, and it was once used as a German submarine base in the Second World War. Nowadays, it is used by the local fishing boats. It is also very well known, among Greek people, for the fresh fish served to the tavernas. After lunch, we ride to Marmaras, the biggest town of Sithonia, where you will check into the hotel around 17:00. You will stay in this hotel for two nights. The rest of the day is free for you to do your own riding, go shopping, or visit the excellent beach bars of Marmaras and the famous resort of Porto Carras with its picturesque marina. At 21:00, we will have the option of joining the tour guide for some dinner at a traditional fishing taverna for some fresh fish, and maybe afterwards we will enjoy a drink at a local night beach bar to enjoy the Greek sky at night.
Day 3:
Marmaras - Sarti - Marmaras [130 km]
We will ride to the village of Sarti, where you will have the chance to go swimming at the most famous beach of Sithonia, the beautiful "Kavourotripes". Next, we ride to the popular Goa cafe, a very nice and authentic beach bar where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Aegean sea combined with the wild and unspoilt beauty of Sithonia. Afterwards, we head to the seaside village of Vourvourou for lunch. Your guided tour ends at Marmaras at 17:00. The rest of the day is free for you to do your own sightseeing. Since by now you definitely know your way around the area, we strongly recommend doing some of your own exploring with the motorcycle. You can discover your own private beach, or go shopping at the local shops that stay open until 23:30.
Day 4:
Marmaras - Pirgadikia - Arnea - Polygyros - Yerakini [150 km]
We will ride to the village of Pirgadikia, a traditional fishing village where you can go for a swim and then have lunch at the local taverna. Then it is time for you to visit the mountain area of Halkidiki. So we visit the village of Arnea through the mountain roads of Holomontas. We will make a stop for coffee and then we return to Yerakini, to the hotel in which you first stayed. This is the end of your guided tour; you will return your motorcycles to the tour engineer. Have the rest of the day free to do your own riding with the scooters that we provide for you. You can go for dinner or shopping in the town.
Day 5:
Yerakini - Airport [60 km]
You are taken by taxi to the International "Macedonia" Airport of Thessaloniki in Greece (SKG) to catch your flight back home. If you would like to extend your stay in Halkidiki, please ask FLYRIDE and we will arrange accommodation for you at the hotel in Yerakini, and rent you a scooter.
