With its volcanoes, coffee plantations, different climate zones, and spectacular landscapes, Guatemala brings you this fantastic motorcycle adventure. You will ride on curvy roads and learn about the Mayan culture as you explore the many sites Guatemala has to offer.
This round trip adventure tour starts in Antigua, with its beautiful cobblestone streets, and takes you both on and off-road to exciting places in Guatemala. You will criss-cross through the mountains and ride on narrow, twisty roads with great views, such as the Cuchumatanes high plateau. This stop provides a viewpoint at 12,588 feet (3,837 meters), where on a clear day you can see from Mexico to El Salvador. Next follow a huge drop in elevation as you enter the lowlands. Ride through lush scenery and discover the beautiful Island of Flores. Visit the Unesco world heritage site of Tikal, with its tremendous Mayan ruins. Glide along Lake Izabal and relax in the natural blue pools of Semuc Champey. Explore Chichicastenango which has the largest public air market in all of Central America. Enjoy breath taking sunsets and see seven volcanoes on this tour. You will spend the nights in Jungle lodges or rustic cabins and even in a ranch at 10,000 ft. Finally, you will get to taste the Chancol cheese, a unique product of the Nebaj region.
This tour is pure adventure. Two up riding is not possible. You will be responsible for transporting your own luggage on your bike, so plan accordingly.
